See, I will do a new thing. It will begin happening now. Will you not know about it? I will even make a road in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. NLV

God has a plan for every season of our lives. We must trust that He knows what is best and when is the right time for changing every season in our lives. We should learn to rejoice and give thanks for each of them. We have entered a new year, a new season so be a blessing and share what You’ve received from the Source of all good things.

1. It has been a few years since YWAM Koivumäki has been praying and longing to see people from different age groups to be discipled, trained, equipped and released to follow their callings and walk in their true identity in Christ Jesus

After seeking the Lord in prayer, the Leadership team of YWAM Koivumäki felt led to run the first Crossroads Discipleship Training School(CDTS) in January 19,2018 even though there are only three students. They are all from different parts of Finland: 2 females and 1 male.

The Lecture phase is almost over and on the 15th of April 2018 the CDTS students and staff will go to Rwanda, East Africa for a nine-week outreach. This is the first time that YWAM Koivumäki is sending a team in this part of Africa. The team will be led by the school leader, Marie-Angelique who is originally from Rwanda. The team will be serving and ministering in different ways. Your prayers and financial support for the team is needed and greatly appreciated.

2. The regular Wednesday Open meetings every week has been an encouragement to the staff and leadership team of YWAM Koivumäki. We get to meet new people from other places who haven’t been to our meetings in the past. We’re given also the opportunities to serve them, pray for them and to hear their stories and challenges in lives. Those who have been attending our meetings regularly have been bringing their friends and relatives also. One of them said that he is growing in his relationship with the Lord as he continues to listen to the teachings and testimonies of others while having coffee or tea with them.

3.YWAM Koivumäki Family is so thankful to the Lord for making it possible to continue running the Worship Discipleship Training School(WDTS) this year. The school will start on the 3rd of June and ends on the 26th of October 2018. The WDTS staff have been ministering and serving in different parts of Finland.

They had the privilege of praying for people for physical, emotional and spiritual healing. They shared the Good News, preached in churches, led worship and prayer meetings and most specially met  new people whom they encouraged, prayed for and refreshed with God’s love and truth.

The team were able to serve in new places where YWAM Koivumäki has not visited or served in the past. Indeed, it is the Lord who opens new places and grants favor to those who are willing to go where He wants them to share His love and make Him known.

4. YWAM Koivumäki family is so grateful to the Lord for enabling us all to attend the Staff Gathering of YWAM Finland that was held in YWAM Ruurikkala on 5-8 January 2018. This was so meaningful to all of us who attended the event because the Lord ministered, refreshed, encouraged and challenged us to continue making Him number one in our lives, depend on Him, grow intimately in our relationship with Him and to each other and to make Him known to others who do not know Him yet in this land and in other countries. We were able also to had a great fellowship with the other staff from other YWAM Centers in Finland.

5. YWAM Koivumäki team continue working with the local churches in the Savo Area. The team served in different ways by helping in their Youth groups, sharing in their Sunday Service, Prayer meetings and in other events.

What a joy and a real blessing to see the Body of Christ working in unity for God’s glory and honor. Let us continue to pray that God’s love and truth will be shared and demonstrated by the followers and lovers of Jesus Christ wherever they are in this nation.

As a volunteer missionary training center,  we are going through all sorts of changes as a result of a surprise visit from an Occupational Safety & Health Official. This situation is new to us and have given us new requirements and recommendations on how to do things. We are not a normal missionary organization so we do not always fit into the normal boxes or categories. However, we were able to organize official work health care with the Local Clinic for the staff that this is required.

Another new thing is changes made by the Immigration Office. It started in the beginning of 2018, the Immigration Law concerning foreigners who need  resident visa in order to live in Finland has to meet the new monthly support required per person/per family.

1. Wisdom and strength for YWAM Koivumäki family to continue doing what God has called them to do in this nation and in other countries.
2. Protection, good health, strength and wisdom for the Crossroads DTS students and staff who are going soon for outreach in Rwanda on the 15th of April 2018.
3. Abundant financial provisions to be used by the CDTS team in ministering in Rwanda, for their airfare, food, visa and accommodation.
4. YWAM Koivumäki needs partners who will pray and give financially towards the ministry, projects, staff and schools.
5. Right students for Worship Discipleship training School and new staff who have the heart of God in discipling, equipping, and in reaching out to the lost, needy, lonely, and hurting people.

To all of you faithful and generous partners and friends, thank you very much for enabling us to continue “Ministering Christ to others so that Jesus might be reproduced and grow in people which is the highest service to both God and man.” –Henry Hon

Make our joy complete by letting us know how we can continue to encourage you and  pray for you and your family members. Looking forward to hearing from you. Give us a call or send us an email.

Grace and Peace to all of you from the Father of Lights!
